stepjay : lol rob, happy bufdee chinny
LJ : Sweet Sixteen Chin!
Verbalrob : On the off chance he actually visits the site... Happy Birthday Chinny!
LJ : I gave depression quest a go. I would not recommend it. Unless of course, you actually dig being depressed...but in my opinion, aint nobody got time for that. If you are depressed, sorry if I offended you but this 'game' will make you more depressed. It even warns the reader/player in the opening. Who knows, maybe one day I will think the best thing in the world would be to add some depression to my life..well, that is the day I play Duke's game of the year? I do respect the well written dialogu
LJ : Hitman Go 1.99 U.S. not sure U.K. price
TheDaddy : Fixed now, sorry about that.
Guy : Speakpipe is broken - well I think the backend is down
Edward F Howard : Cricket is like Chess on a field, if Chess were to last five extremely boring days and the players used bats and balls...
stulec52 : arse, I'm learning it on 360. not getting it yet though
Duffnstuff : Valve have just released a huge set of tools for creating custom Dota2 game modes but perhaps the most exciting bit of info for non-Dota players is that the tools are running using the Source 2 engine. «link»
DukeSkath : Yeah but alas we can't play across platforms
stepjay : ive never played it before. im tempted to pick it up when it comes to the xbone.
DukeSkath : Anyone interested in playing on a VGHub Minecraft server?
Naughty Dog’s 2013 action-horror adventure The Last of Us is a good zombie game. It’s not the greatest game of the generation, and it’s not the best game of the decade. I won’t squabble with those who called it Game of the Year, but I can’t give it that honor. It does some things very well, but the most important things (especially the ending) are merely decent at best.
Spoilers ahead. Obviously, you shouldn’t read this if you haven’t played the game.
This week Chinny went AWOL in Devon and we had to go out and find a suitable replacement! Luckily Robin Brown from the Boss Wave Podcast was ready and willing to step in and fill Chinny’s sizeable and smelly shoes.
We talked games including Minecraft, The Walking Dead season two, Deadlight, Hotel Dusk and Duke finally finished The Last of Us (how long did that take!?)
This week in the news we covered Anita Sarkeesian receiving online abuse and why it is wrong, the new Nintendo 3DS and Super Meat Boy Forever coming to mobile devices.
We round out with emails, speakpipes and social media stuff.

You want to know why I’m so angry on this week’s podcast? It’s because of the wretched, pathetic, violent anger directed at women who challenge the male status quo in the world of video games.
Today Anita Sarkeesian shared this horrifying series of tweets (WARNING: Vile and graphic!) demonstrating how specific and atrocious the threats and harassment have gotten for her.
Earlier she explained that she had to leave her home:
I’m safe. Authorities have been notified. Staying with friends tonight. I’m not giving up. But this harassment of women in tech must stop!
This stuff makes me sick to my stomach, and so I shout and curse when the topic comes up. I’m not going to be quiet about it, and I hope everyone understands that my rage isn’t about a particular incident or even a few of them. It’s because I’ve seen this same sort of thing happen over and over, for years, and mostly men don’t care — if they even know about it.
We men have a responsibility to stand up to these atrocities. Not just by clucking our tongues when someone crosses the line, but by demanding a safe place for everyone — especially women, who receive a unique kind of horrible backlash — to express their opinion.
