Whilst on holiday recently, I came across this, proudly displayed in the window of a rather dingy looking video game shop. Not dissimilar to one that I used to frequent as a teenager to buy my second hand Playstation games. The thing is, when I saw it along with the Atari 2600 sat on top, the memories began to flood back of those long ago days spent in the tap room of our local village pub, begging my dad for ten pence coins to play Space Invaders on a machine that looked exactly like it. This week the Veteran Gamer crew have some Skype issues so Duke and Chinny kick Stu off for having failed to pay his internet provider. We’ve often said on the podcast that the Collector’s Edition of Fallout New Vegas should have contained a full set of poker chips that could be used for an evening of cards. Well, if you’ve got $1400 (£881), an eBay account, and lots of patience, you can put one together yourself. Wow.
