The cynic in me is calling fake. I.e. the tv was already damaged and this was filmed for viral video coverage. I could be wrong though.
Actually I think you are right as there is no reflection on the very shiny table in front of the TV, and TVs generally give out a lot of light.
I’m with you two; also, although the screen was damaged, the set should still have produced sound, which magically stopped when the set was ‘hit’.

Must be nice to be able to afford to break expensive TVs like that!
The main reason I never went to ragey on my stuff is that I cannot afford to replace most of it. Even controllers have gotten expensive enough to make a person think twice about chucking them across them room. This is a not even a close second to people busting their TVs with Wii remotes but still amusing.
See how music and games bring people to a euphoric level… that makes them want to smash their tv with a fake guitar!

I was thinking “maybe fake” myself, since we don’t see any evidence of the game on-screen. But I know that rationality and “oo, don’t do that — it’s expensive” goes out the window when GameRage strikes.
Especially when — as is almost certainly the case here — alcohol is involved.
