The Veteran Gamers Episode 58 – The Show With No Cuts…

Postby The Daddy » 18 Feb 2011, 15:13

Welcome to show 58.

This week The Daddy is back, but this show is unedited, uncut and coming to you just as it was!

Quanrian joins us to talk about Ninja360. We also have news, emails and of course our sort of new feature now, Egg Timer Topics.

No Surface Lizard this week unfortunately, but all the other usual banter.

Enjoy.

Normal service is resumed; and I'm back on the next show, whining about Guitar Hero.

And celebrating it's demise.

Yay, my sentiments exactly. When this first came out on the PS2 I thought it was the best game ever. I think the rot started when EA got involved with Rock Band. All good things eventually come to an end ... however much it kicks and screams.

The final joke was "The Beatles Rock Band" ... who the f**k were they? pmsl :-)

Well from listening to this week's podcast, I am touched to learn that I got the last spot on Chinny's friends list. Awwww...

ALSO Just to let you know I work for a rather Large Book Printing Firm and I personally printed Glukovsky's Metro 2033. It really is awesome. If you have an english copy look in the first few pages and it should say Printed and Bound at Clays, Bungay. But yeah awesome book. The game was OK. The narrative was obviously taken from the book but I didnt feel it was conveyed as well as it should/could of been. Also I found the movement and gunplay very stiff and rigid. AI wasnt to hot either. I did like the atmospere that was created with the lighting and the audio. Knowing the end of the book really took away the fear and tension factors though. THE BOOK IS VERY SCARY AT POINTS. ITS A MUST READ PEOPLE.

obviously the books i printed are in book stores or have been bought by happy customers by now as we print in batches. that one was around 50k. Those books are then bound and shipped off. But when we do a reprint I will certainly grab you a copy my friend
