Just to let you all know, i have finally fallen into the podcasts peer pressure. Mass effect 1 was 8 pounds in my local game store so i decided to buy it. It took me a couple of weeks of playing but i completed it and quite a lot of the side quests too. It was so good that when i saw mass effect 2 i bought it. I've got quite far making my squad and getting them loyal. In the campaign *SPOILERS* ive gone into the "derelict" collecters ship. The illusive man says to go and get the code so we can go through the omega 4 relay. I decided to fill the last space in my team and get all of them loyal before i go through the relay. Before i go through i was wondering can you get back to normal space once you go through?

No - it's another Bioware point of no return like going to Ilos in ME1 or entering Denerim in DAO.

Phil that's not entirely correct.

After you complete the mission on the other side of the relay you return 'home' to continue exploration if you wish.
