I wrote my response to this half a second ago but I have crap upload speed! Theres no doubt its is exciting news I just hope we find they can iron out the kinks in the infrastructure.

Just as they had a '10 Year Plan' for the PS3, knowing they've acquired Gaikai is exciting, seeing the company shaping PlayStation's next ten years and beyond, essentially future proofing the PS4. Imagine what this could bring to the Sony ecosystem in the longterm. The potential is enormous.

Perry on the PlayStation 4: "I now work for Sony, I can tell you my take on it is I much prefer to focus on gaming. You need to hit it out of the park on gaming. If it does other stuff that's cool. But the core is what it's all about. So my focus would be, it's just got to make the most badass games possible. That's certainly what my push will be inside the company. If it does other things I get it. That's cool. But it's not the core of the device."
