Welcome to show 38.

This week The Daddy is ill, so you will have to excuse the croaky voice and the phlegm balls, but apart from that it is business as usual.

So to games. Duke plays Dead To Rights Retribution, Chinny finishes Mafia 2 and play’s a bit more Halo Reach and The Daddy gets into dismembering Zombies in Dead Rising 2 and dismembering people in No More Heroes 2.

In the middle of the show Quanrian brings us Abaddon Retribution and Techno Kitten Adventure, Duke loved one of them, can you guess which it is?

We also cover off the extended Bioshock Infinite Trailer, Little Big Planet 2 and how many Kinects will sell.

Finally we finish off the show with, why it is hard to be a female gamer.

its so hard to be a girl gamer, well only sometimes, and I can tell this crowd just loves gaming so that is great. besides us girls have to put on our big girl panties if we want to hang with the boyz. have a great time at eurogamer and hope The Daddy is feeling better! cheers!

I have no problems with girl gamers (heck I married one) though truth be told I much prefer to see them as gamers first and girls second. What I dislike are the ‘aggressive’ girl gamers who feel the need to mention and reference their gender every other second. See the Frag Dolls for example, not sure how bad they are now but in their early days, their constant licking of controllers in their photographs and pout faces just felt...well...trashy.

Used to play a lot of Gears of War with a female friend some months back but her constant “I can shoot good for a woman” or “you got beaten by a girl” comments got tiresome after a while. Just like if a male gamer felt the need to talk about his penis all the time. Seafox27 it really didn’t occur to me that you are female (especially as we have yet to shoot each other) but at the end of the day, that really should not matter, gamers are gamers to me.

NOEZ GIRLS WANT ME AS I AM SKILLZ AT GAMEZ LOLZ.

I find it a touch disturbing that some male gamers seem to think that ANY female gamer will somehow find them desireable via their ability at games. Frankly, a lot of the male players I have encountered online suffer from a severe case of gynaephobia; and the only way that they can deal with is is to somehow redeem their masculinity by being obnoxious.

About 6 months ago, I made a female avater, and explored PlayStation Home. It was pathetic. I was abused, harassed, propositioned, and received more friend requests after that session than I have in my 3 years of PS3 ownership. The moral: don't be Surface Lizard; get reincarnated as a girl.
