Music Genre

What's is your favourite music genre? Mine is anything to do with rock, punk or metal. I have been to rock concerts (Metallica, Sum 41 and Green Day) and they are my scene for sure!

I used to think that everyone had to have a specific genre of music that they like. My views have changed. I like a variety of genres from prog rock (Tool and Floyd) to Hip Hop (Nas to Hilltop Hoods ((aussie Hip hop)) & Em) to mad dance (Prodigy & Pendulum).

I guess what i'm saying is I like music that I like and it doesn't need to be a certain genre. The only thing I don't like is manufactured music.

I love jazz and blues, as well as elecronica, and '80s synth-pop.

In honesty, it's easier to say that I have never 'got' urban/R&B and country music. Just not for me.

Also, modern whiny emo bands. Please all vanish now.

I’m at that age now where if I like something I like it, sounds daft but I don’t have the energy for following specific genres or groups etc.

The only genre I know that I dislike is dance music, sounds like a demented baboon smacking a tin drum to my ears.

Now, I love old skool thrash and death metal. Morbid Angel, Obituary, D.R.I. etc; they had style, and very technical abilities.

Are you able to provide empirical evidence for the claim that Medal of Hono(U)r has a homosexual appellation, or is this an a priori estimation?

I must say I'm into rock 70's to present and metal also listen to late 70's punk/new wave and on the other side of the coin I also enjoy Northern Soul/Motown going back to my scooter boy days in 1979 where we used to frequent all nighters and even all dayers.
I like alot of different music genres when I think about it, I like the blues from Stevie Ray Vaughn, Albert King and BB King and even Clapton. I used to be a big Jam fan travelling the country to see them and since the split have enjoyed almost everything Paul Weller has done.
When I think back growing up in the 60's and 70's what a fantastic time it was for music, that in my opinion has never been repeated. Music that I don't like is rap and rave type music and the majority of music played on Galaxy FM radio that the wife and kids listen to when we are in the car, my favourite station for middle of the road music has to be Radio 2, which I'm not permitted to listen to as they consider it an old fogies station.
